Re: abc for automata !

John, excuse my long silence. I am afraid I will have still less time in future, yet here goes for some further musings: -) where you mention "homing circuits", do you mean limit switches as described at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limit_switch ? -) your mechanical setup seems over compl...

Re: ABC to PNG

Yes, standard behaviour is to create one line of music for each line of text. You can change this behaviour with the %% barsperstaff directive but (for what I do) this is rarely useful.

Re: abc for automata !

Couldn't help spending some time tinkering. Having no idea of the total hardware setup, I see the biggest issue in the hardware between the PC holding the ABC data and the microcontroller that I assume to be driving the stepper motors. Elegant would be to have the microcontroller/stepper driver to a...

Re: Changing "staves" setup halfway

Well, as nobody else offered an answer I had to dig until I found one myself (actually I came across this when faced with another problem):

%%staffnonote logical : if false, staves with no notes are not printed.

Grazie mille, Sig. Gonzato!

Changing "staves" setup halfway

For a simple example: I have a song with the verses just by a solo voice and piano. In the refrain, there joins a string quartet. I have not found a way to make the string's lines appear only in the refrain, I must add them from the beginning. I have tried a second "staves" statement at th...

Re: Aligning bars in multi-voices

Experiment a bit with the %%staves directive. I think something like %%staves {T B } should work.

Clarinet

I am writing a multi-voice arrangement for a group that includes a clarinet. Playing in C, if I want the clarinet to sound "ceg" then I must write "dfa", no problem there - but how to make the two sharps appear (and be correctly interpreted) in the clarinet line only?

"Button" image?

When publishing some ABC files on my website, I should like to have users click on a kind of ABC "logo" to download. Does there exist such a file?
Apologies if the question was already answered, I didn't find anything at a quick glance, but I am not a strong searcher...
TIA
