Re: Some questions about new lines

abcm2ps follows the various versions of the ABC standards. By default, (no %%abc-version or no %abc-xx at start of file), it follows the 1.7.3 standard for which the backslash at end of a music line means "don't start a new staff system". It is ignored in other lines (information fields or...

Re: Marcato decoration

Hi Dave, The standard accent in abcm2ps is !accent!. If you want any other mark (as '>' or inverted 'v' like signs), you may create yourself a decoration by %%deco and the associated PS code in a %%beginps/%%endps sequence (there are examples in the file deco.abc which comes with abcm2ps). You may a...

Re: two abcm2ps bugs

Hi Jack, You should not ask questions about abcm2ps here. I rarely look at these forums. If you want many notes in the tempo, don't set just the duration, but tell which notes: Q:3/8 1/4=56 You have too many notes here: B |[M:2/4]B c d> d |c> B (B2 | A4) || w:War lein tour moal kas- tell Ar- vor_! b...

Re: Addition to ABC notation standard: SfzML

Hi, I had a look at your job, and I am not sure about where you want to go. In http://xml.coverpages.org/xmlMusic.html, they describe almost 18 XML music notations. Do you mean you want to create an other one? In the other hand, the main advantage of ABC is its compactness, while XML is very verbose...

Re: simile marks and ad-lib beat marks

The information in format files are abcm2ps commands without '%%'. So, if you just want the '/' alone, in your ABC file, insert: %%beginps /slashz { %usage: x y slashz 12 sub M -7 6 RM 11 12 RL 3 0 RL -11 -12 RL -3 0 RL fill}! %%endps %%deco head-slashz 0 slashz 0 0 0 for use as: !head-slashz!z

A logo has been created for the ABC MIME type (text/vnd.abc). Look at:
