Re: Software installation

Sorry about the delay in moderating this post - the boards were getting spammed just before you posted so I put in some emergency measures to stop them and they didn't quite work as I expected (I didn't get emailed about new posts). In reply to your question, personally I'm using ABCExplorer at the ...

Spam prevention

In order to prevent more of the kind of spam that occurred over the weekend, I'm now requiring each user to have their first few posts to these forums approved. However, once you have had three posts accepted you can post without restriction. Sorry to do this, but it should save me coming home from ...

BBC Radio 4 features abc

BBC Radio 4 is shortly to broadcast a programme featuring abc and its impact on the world of traditional music. Entitled " From Dots to Downloads ", the programme documents the use of abc music notation in the rediscovery of old manuscript tune-books from the 18th and 19th centuries. The p...

Re: ABC Plus

Thanks. I was intending to add a link to ABC Plus, but didn't get round to it.

It's now added (http://abcnotation.com/learn.html).

Re: What is your favourite abc software?

Oops!!! Adding abcMIDI wiped out the previous voting - seems I've still got a bit to learn about these bulletin boards. Fortunately, there were only 18 votes so far (abcm2ps marginally in the lead), so not too much harm done. Sorry about that - please vote again. And yes, I think I'm going to change...
