Coversion request: "The Land of Beulah" (1878?)

Good day all,

I am in the process of converting from scan to a proper digital format the following book for future use by Cherokee language students:

http://books.google.com/books?id=j0FOAA ... &q&f=false

or

http://hdl.handle.net/2027/njp.32101074 ... =%3Bseq=90

Is this already available somwhere in ABC notation?

If not, is anyone willing to volunteer to create one?

Thanks/Wado!

I'm happy to transcribe the music to abc for you Wado but the Cherokee text is impossible to reproduce!

Pete.

This would be much appreciated.

Wado!

I can provide the the unicode for the Cherokee or the latin transliteration... (or both) if you like.

I'll have a crack at the music transcription by the weekend. I'll have to remind myself how to print text between staves rather than in a block at the bottom of the page as it's something I rarely do. Using unicode would be a first for me too!

Right, here's the ABC, I cannot replicate the four dot repeat marks on the first stave as there is no way of doing this in ABC. The transcription works fine in my software (ABC Explorer) and with two on-line converters (Tune-O-Tron and O'Reagan's) but the preview on here gets the written music all wrong as it ignores the ampersand used in two places to make the staff notation look like the original. Multiple notes are ignored by the midi player too so don't listen to it on here!

And a general appeal: for chrissake, when you put an ABC file up on the web, put some identifying information in it so people can find you. Ideally, put it in every tune header.
