Getting player to work on new PC

Postby Dee J » Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:48 am

Just swapped from an old XP computer to a netbook running a starter version of windows 7. I can't get the player (ie the bit of each tune page which allows you to hear the tune) to work. What add ons etc... do I need to have enabled?

Other sound based functions work OK on other websites. Java and Flash are loaded and enabled. What have I missed?

Depends on your browser.

Firefox needs Quicktime installed whereas Internet Explorer uses Windows Media Player.

Let me know if that doesn't help.

Using Windows Internet Explorer with windows media player. Works OK on other sound-based websites, but not on this one... a puzzle

I have updated the search help page to try to address this problem.

Take a look at http://abcnotation.com/searchHelp#no-midi
