I’ve been busy out the back again, working on another little feature for the site – a recommender system.
So the next time you look at a tune page – assuming someone else has looked at it previously – halfway down the page you should see a list headed “Visitors who viewed this tune also viewed”, plus excerpts from 3 other tunes.
I haven’t had much chance to evaluate the recommendations it provides yet. Some of the ones I’ve looked at seem fairly random, although others definitely give related tunes. But I’m hoping that, over time, the recommendations will build up to lead you on to different versions of a tune or perhaps tunes that are often played together.
