New tunes for May

I’ve just released the May edition of the tune search – now with 61,000 tunes, including several thousand newly added song melodies from the Digital Tradition archive. Enjoy!

    Hi Chris,
    My hobby is Indian Classical Music, where we use notations such as
    S r R g G M m P d D n N for the 12 notes in the Octave. Does the abc notation support alternative notation such as this for writing music?

    Not as far as I know, although it’s possible someone may have done an extension to make this possible. However, I haven’t heard of it.

    Anand,
    you could write it in your tune Indian Classical Music scale then convert it to normal abc notation for printing by use of a script such as `sed` or `tcl`or similar. I believe tcl works on windows as well.
