{"id":67,"date":"2009-08-09T13:22:50","date_gmt":"2009-08-09T13:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/abcnotation.com\/blog\/?p=67"},"modified":"2021-07-07T08:45:35","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T07:45:35","slug":"just-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abcnotation.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/09\/just-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Just back &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; from that wonderful institution of the UK folk scene, <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.sidmouthfolkweek.co.uk\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.sidmouthfolkweek.co.uk\/\">Sidmouth Folk Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Had an absolutely splendid time (despite the rain), although I was only there half the week.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Utterly exhausted now though, especially after Thursday&#8217;s marathon &#8211; did a concert with <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.meridianfolk.co.uk\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.meridianfolk.co.uk\/\">Meridian<\/a>, dashed up to the Bulverton to play for the end of a dance workshop and then dashed back into town for a three and a half hour ceilidh with <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.climaxceilidhband.co.uk\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.climaxceilidhband.co.uk\/\">Climax<\/a> at the Blackmore Gardens &#8211; ten hours of playing and \/ or soundchecks!<\/p>\n<p>So what has this got to do with abc notation?<\/p>\n<p>Well nothing much, apart from the fact that I met several people who had heard the <a href=\"\/forums\/viewtopic.php?f=10&amp;t=13\">radio programme<\/a> (and had a quick chat with Johnny Adams who founded the <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.village-music-project.org.uk\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.village-music-project.org.uk\/\">Village Music Project<\/a> and was also interviewed).<\/p>\n<p>What surprised me most is the number of people who didn&#8217;t know about the programme but happened to have Radio 4 on at the time it went out.
