X:1 T:Air [42] B:John Baptist Malchair music manuscript collection (c. 1760-1792). N: Malchair (1739-1810) was born in Germany and trained as a chorister at N:Cologne Cathedral; by his teens he was teaching violin and playing N:in the Three Choirs festival. His manuscripts were compiled over a thirty year N:period during which time he was the leader of the "Oxford Music Room Band". S:"From the singing of a Poor woman and two feral children, S:Oxford, May 31, 1784."
