S:Found in the 1844 music manuscript collection of musician Thomas M. Kernan, a native
S:of Cranley, near Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. However, Kernan spent most of his life
S:in the vicinity of Drumlish, County Longford. The Leonard/Kernan manuscript, which is
S:in the handwriting of Thomas Kernan, Michael Leonard, and others, was found in
S:Abbeyshrule, in the house where Thomas Kernan’s pupil, Michael Leonard, lived.
