W:First all join hand in hand and face the presence,then all lead to the presence and back again.
W:Here the first two couples give right hands,and take left a whole round;
W:Next men and women facing each other,the first two couple nod heads at each other
W:and afterwards take hands, then all four go once round,and the first couple cast off below the second couple.
W:Then each friend standing opposite to his sister after he has repeated these two verses, he kisses her.
W:Then turning to the second woman, having repeated these verses kisses her also.
W:%
W:Friends each with sister, thus in order stand,
W:For sure the godly may join hand in hand;
W:In vitue's paths tread firm, as oaks do grow,
W:But from all sin, like crabs let's backward go.
W:%
W:Join not with those who ha'n't the light within,
W:Who are in darkness, and in deadly sin;
W:But with thy holy brethren join thy might,
W:Who have, like us, the sanctify'd light:
W:%
W:And Tho' we'll not clap hands, nor congies make,
W:Yet we'll nod heads, and hands we'll friendly shake;
W:Which done, thus joyn'd in love once round we'll go,
W:Next, ye walk up, and we'll cast off below.
W:%
W:But as this mirth doth much my spirit move,
W:So I to thee thus testify my love;
W:And least, O sister, though shoul'st take this ill,
W:The spirit bears to thee, the same good will.
