X:4 T:"The Beaux of London City" Stick Dance T: Danced by the Morris of Adderbury, Oxon. as remembered and danced by Mr. William Walton S: Noted by J.H. Blunt April 20th 1916 Z: Taz Tarry, 7/5/2014 N:There is an inconsistent use of the 'martello' symbol, initial using v in the once to yourself but then N:an upside down v in Part I. There are also some problematic bars in the MS which I have transcribed as best N:as I can. One is Bar 3 of the once to yourself where it looks like two attempts have been made in the same bar. N:I have transcribed the version matching the corresponding bar - bar 7 - later on. N:Another problematical bar is Bar 4 of Part 1, where a B is written twice on top of each other, and N:a dotted crotecht C written under a dotted minim B but then looks like it has been crossed out. The beats in the bar N:don't add up in any case so I have taken the C to be crossed out.
